21st February 2012 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 18-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 foot surf Air Temperature: 9ºC Sea Temperature: 8ºC Weather: Grey and miserable Max Speed: Distance Covered: A nice little sail, and the first for a while. Just about enough on my Naish and 5.6m sail to start with, but a little worrying out the back in amongst some pretty big waves, especially during the lulls. Wind then picked up for a bit and I had a few really good runs out and back, well powered up and having fun. The it eased off again and I saw a few of the students stood on the beach so I stopped for a while and had a chat while they rigged up. Tom, Sam and Rupert all came out with smaller sails than me, but by now the wind had filled in again and I was a little over-powered if anything. I had a few more runs and then left them to it, although as I was de-rigging they were all pfaffing on the beach with what looked like some destroyed kit for Rupert? Good to get out though. |
